Kwara Film Festival (KFF) is birthed to celebrate the art of film making and the contributions of film makers in Kwara State by hosting a National Film Festival that will educate, inform and entertain young film creatives, Entrepreneurs and also develop programs for economic, educational, entertainment and cultural benefits embedded in our state.
In furtherance, we are committed to sustaining KFF as an initiative for celebrating artistic excellence found in revealed African stories and Cinematic experience. Our goal is to continue to project Kwara State and promote it’s young promising talents that are into film making. We will continue to build partnerships that would create value and opportunities for Kwara Film makers and continue to invest in the development of young talents in Kwara State.

Awards in categories such as Feature, Documentary, Short and Indegineous Short, as well as awards and prizes in Directing, Acting and Screenplay. it also features special awards for Audience choice and a Jury award for outstanding film.

RULES FOR FILM SUBMISSION

• Submitted Films must be the sole property of the applicant(s).
• All entries must be Subtitled *Awards*

Awards in categories such as Feature, Documentary, Short and Indegineous Short, as well as awards and prizes in Directing, Acting and Screenplay. it also features special awards for Audience choice and a Jury award for outstanding film.
• Short Films must be between 1 and 40 minutes in length while Feature films should not be more than 120 minutes.
• There is no limit to the number of films you may submit.
• Competition judges and paid employees of the Kwara Film Festival, past and present, are not eligible to enter
* Films from all parts of the world are eligible
*Films that are not in English must be fully subtitled in English.

The filmmaker must provide a working link (with or without password) to a digital screener on Vimeo, YouTube, or equivalent through FilmFreeway. DVD and E-mail submissions are not considered at all.

Films must have been completed after January 1, 2018.

While we prefer otherwise, short films currently streaming on You Tube or other free or pay platforms are eligible.
