Alvin Li-Shen Chua Memorial Scholarship


(Updated 20 Apr 2023) The scholarship is in memory of Dr Alvin Li-Shen Chua, who was an undergraduate of the Physics Department at Imperial College, London from 1997-2000 and also undertook a PhD in the Condensed Matter Theory group. He graduated in 2004 with a PhD thesis entitled ‘Mathematical Aspects of Epitaxial Systems’.

PRIZES

1 cash bursary of £7,500 to be used towards the cost of tuition fees is available for applicants who wish to obtain the MRes in Machine Learning and Big Data in the Physical Sciences Course.

Note that the Department of Physics will rank the applicants who meet the required conditions per academic merit and/or potential based on your College application.

This is a partial scholarship.
