Baby Box design competition


The National Baby Boxes Initiative uses the power of design to give every child born in Scotland an equal start in life.

Delivered by the Scottish Government, the Baby Box will contain essential items for all newborn babies.

The Baby Box design competition is a National design competition run by V&A Museum of Design Dundee presenting an opportunity for the next generation of designers to design the print that covers the surface of the box.

PRIZES

The winning student will receive a cash prize of £1000.

As part of their prize, the winning student will also benefit from exclusive mentoring from leading Scottish designers Holly Fulton and Scott Jarvie.

The winning design will be put into production and rolled out on every Baby Box from summer 2017 until March 2019.


HOST COUNTRY

United Kingdom


Note that while some organisers may accept applications from all around the world, you may still be required to travel to the host country in order to take part in the later stages of a competition for instance, or you may be required to live there for a period of time to take part in a funded programme (e.g. scholarship, incubator, accelerator).
