BBSRC-Brazil (FAPESP) joint funding of research (September 2016 call)

Research Councils UK (RCUK) and the State of Säo Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) have agreed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to welcome, encourage and support grant applications that may cut across their national boundaries and involve international collaborative teams.

PRIZES

Proposals approved for funding will be jointly supported by BBSRC and FAPESP.

All research grants and fellowship applications are costed on the basis of full economic costs
(fEC). Research Councils provide funding on the basis of 80% of fEC. The organisation must agree to find the balance of fEC for the project from other resources.

HOST COUNTRIES

United Kingdom Brazil

Note that while some organisers may accept applications from all around the world, you may still be required to travel to the host country in order to take part in the later stages of a competition for instance, or you may be required to live there for a period of time to take part in a funded programme (e.g. scholarship, incubator, accelerator).

Multiple host countries may mean that no travel is required.
