The Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) Crops for Human and Farmed Animal Nutrition Grant scheme is inviting researchers from a range of backgrounds to apply their expertise across the spectrum of underpinning to applied research in order to advance the understanding of how crops and/or crop-based food can have a positive health benefit for humans or farmed animals.

Successful applications will be funded through their responsive mode (round 16RM3).
All research grants and fellowship applications are costed on the basis of full economic costs
(fEC). Research Councils provide funding on the basis of 80% of fEC. The organisation must agree to find the balance of fEC for the project from other resources.
Note that while some organisers may accept applications from all around the world, you may still be required to travel to the host country in order to take part in the later stages of a competition for instance, or you may be required to live there for a period of time to take part in a funded programme (e.g. scholarship, incubator, accelerator).
