Emergency Awards: Rapid Investigation of SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19

The aim of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to provide an expedited funding mechanism for research on Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). This FOA was issued in response to the declared public health emergency issued for Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).

PRIZES

Successful applicants will receive federal financial assistance (FFA) from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

Note that applicants requesting $500,000 or more in direct costs in any year (exclusions apply) must contact a Scientific/ Research Contact at least 6 weeks before submitting the application.

HOST COUNTRY

United States

Note that while some organisers may accept applications from all around the world, you may still be required to travel to the host country in order to take part in the later stages of a competition for instance, or you may be required to live there for a period of time to take part in a funded programme (e.g. scholarship, incubator, accelerator).
