International Garden Photographer of the Year

(Updated 29 Jan 2025) The International Garden Photographer of the Year (IGPOTY) is an annual photography competition that focuses mainly on garden, plant, flower and botany genres.

Best Single Image (Overall Winner) is chosen from one of the main category winners - maximum prize: £4,000
Best Overall Portfolio winner is chosen from one of the shortlisted Portfolios entered in the 'Portfolios' category only - maximum prize: £1,000.
1st Place Winner (Singles Only) in an IGPOTY Photo Project: £250

All 1st Place Winners in a main IGPOTY category (that appear in a physically printed IGPOTY book (from Collection 17 onwards) are entitled to receive 1x free copy of 1 annual IGPOTY book in that competition year in which their photo appears *

All other awardees are entitled to receive a coupon code for a 20% discount off the RRP of 1 copy of 1 annual IGPOTY book in that competition year in which their photo appears *


The image chosen as the book cover each year will receive 1 prize copy of the book*

Note: An entry fee is required. The minimum fee is £16 for 4 single images ('Single Entry'), or £30 for a portfolio of 6 images.
