International Garden Photographer of the Year

(Updated 28 Feb 2023) The International Garden Photographer of the Year (IGPOTY) is an annual photography competition that focuses mainly on garden, plant, flower and botany genres.

Best Single Image (Overall Winner) is chosen from one of the main category winners - maximum prize: £4,000
Best Overall Portfolio winner is chosen from one of the shortlisted Portfolios entered in the 'Portfolios' category only - maximum prize: £1,000.
1st Place Winner (Singles Only) in an IGPOTY Photo Project: £250

All winners of the main IGPOTY categories are entitled to receive a coupon code for a 50% discount off the RRP of 1 copy of 1 annual IGPOTY book in that competition year in which their photo appears (if a book is published)

The image chosen as the book cover each year will receive 1 prize copy of the book (if a book is published).

Note: An entry fee is required. This fee is £16 for 4 single images ('Single Entry'), or £30 for a portfolio of 6 images.

HOST COUNTRY

United Kingdom

Note that while some organisers may accept applications from all around the world, you may still be required to travel to the host country in order to take part in the later stages of a competition for instance, or you may be required to live there for a period of time to take part in a funded programme (e.g. scholarship, incubator, accelerator).
