ISCB Wikipedia Competition

(Updated 12 Apr 2025) This call for entries is for the 14th edition of the International Society for Computational Biology (ISCB) Wikipedia Competition, which aims to improve Wikipedia's coverage of any topic relating to ISCB's Bioinformatics Core Competencies.

PRIZES

1st prize - $500 (USD) and 1 year membership to the ISCB.
2nd prize - $250 (USD) and 1 year membership to the ISCB.
3rd prize - $150 (USD) and 1 year membership to the ISCB.

May-June 2025: Judging panel shortlisting
July 2025: Announcement of winners (at ISMB/ECCB 2025)

HOST COUNTRY

United States

Note that while some organisers may accept applications from all around the world, you may still be required to travel to the host country in order to take part in the later stages of a competition for instance, or you may be required to live there for a period of time to take part in a funded programme (e.g. scholarship, incubator, accelerator).
