LAUNCH: The University of California's Startup Accelerator 2017

LAUNCH is Berkeley’s leading accelerator, designed to transform early stage startups into fundable companies. Teams are paired with serial-entrepreneur mentors and led through a rigorous curriculum by the UC Berkeley Faculty. The three month long accelerator phase is designed to help UC startups grow quickly. They help companies build out their teams, protect IP, connect with industry experts, get minimum viable products into customers’ hands, prove their scalable business model, pitch to investors, and become fundable.

They are currently accepting applications for the Class of 2017.

PRIZES

At the culmination of the programme, the class will compete for prize money in a public forum at the LAUNCH Final Event. The total amount of prize money may vary from year to year, but is typically around $50,000. But prize money is only one piece of potential funding for our participating startups – given the exposure startups get by going through the programme, it’s not uncommon for LAUNCH startups to receive VC term sheets within days of the Final Event.
