The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Programme enables students whose talent and promise exceed their financial resources to complete their education. With a vision that education is a catalyst for social and economic change, the programme focuses on developing African leaders who are transformative, encouraging them to be active contributors in their communities.

PRIZES

The programme provides financial, social, and academic support to scholars. Financial support includes, but is not limited to, tuition fees, accommodation, books, and other scholastic materials. The scope of majors and degrees eligible for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Programme varies from institution to institution.

Note that while some organisers may accept applications from all around the world, you may still be required to travel to the host country in order to take part in the later stages of a competition for instance, or you may be required to live there for a period of time to take part in a funded programme (e.g. scholarship, incubator, accelerator).

Multiple host countries may mean that no travel is required.
