The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Clean Energy Prize (CEP) is a multi-stage, student-organized business plan competition. It is open to any student, anywhere, who has a clean energy start-up idea that can change the world.

20 business plans (4-6 from each category), will receive mentoring and access to other MIT CEP resources.
In the Grand Finals the top teams will compete for a $100,000 Grand Prize, a U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) Clean Energy Prize, and Track Prizes.
OTHER KEY DATES
Finalists will present their business plans to a panel of expert judges at the CEP Finals event on April 13.
The top two teams in each category will go on to compete in the Grand Finals on April 13.

Note that while some organisers may accept applications from all around the world, you may still be required to travel to the host country in order to take part in the later stages of a competition for instance, or you may be required to live there for a period of time to take part in a funded programme (e.g. scholarship, incubator, accelerator).
