The Africa Food Prize is an award which recognizes an outstanding man, woman or institution that is leading the effort to change the reality of farming in Africa – from a struggle to survive to a business that thrives.
The prize celebrates Africans who are taking control of Africa’s agriculture agenda.

The winner will be awarded at the Africa Food Prize gala dinner on 6th September 2017 during the African Green Revolution Forum (AGRF) in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

Note that while some organisers may accept applications from all around the world, you may still be required to travel to the host country in order to take part in the later stages of a competition for instance, or you may be required to live there for a period of time to take part in a funded programme (e.g. scholarship, incubator, accelerator).
Multiple host countries may mean that no travel is required.
