The Africa Food Prize


(Updated 29 Mar 2025) This call for entries is for the 2025 edition of the Africa Food Prize, an award which recognizes an outstanding man, woman or institution that is leading the effort to change the reality of farming in Africa – from a struggle to survive to a business that thrives.

The prize celebrates Africans who are taking control of Africa’s agriculture agenda.

Note that while some organisers may accept applications from all around the world, you may still be required to travel to the host country in order to take part in the later stages of a competition for instance, or you may be required to live there for a period of time to take part in a funded programme (e.g. scholarship, incubator, accelerator).
