Wiki Loves Monuments is an annual international photography contest by Wikimedia that welcomes submissions of high-quality images of monuments in over 40 countries around the world. These photos will then be shared under free licences via Wikimedia Commons, a free media repository which provides most of the images for Wikipedia sites around the world.

The ten best photos for each country will be submitted to the International Finale.
All top-15 winners of the International Contest will receive a certificate. On top of these, the following prizes will be awarded to the international winners:
- Up to €1500 in in-kind prize and a printed copy of their winning photo signed by Maestro Plácido Domingo, the president of Europa Nostra.
- Up to €1200 in in-kind prize
- Up to €1000 in in-kind prize
- Up to €800 in in-kind prize
- Up to €500 in in-kind prize
- Up to €400 in in-kind prize
- Up to €300 in in-kind prize
- Up to €200 in in-kind prize
- Up to €100 in in-kind prize
- Up to €100 in in-kind prize
Special awards for European Heritage have been made available by the German National Committee for Monument Protection through Wikimedia Germany.
- Up to €1500 in in-kind prize
- Up to €700 in in-kind prize
- Up to €300 in in-kind prize
