The Yidan Prize 2021

This call for applications is for the 2021 edition of The Yidan Prize, which champions courageous, committed people who are creating a better world through education.

PRIZES

Each Yidan Prize laureate will receive a certificate, a gold medal and a monetary award of HK$30 million (about $3.9 million USD). Half of this is a cash prize and the remaining half will be distributed over three years to support a project.

If the laureates are members of a group, each team member will receive a certificate and a gold medal, while the cash prize and project fund will be shared equally among the team members.

HOST COUNTRY

Hong Kong SAR, China

Note that while some organisers may accept applications from all around the world, you may still be required to travel to the host country in order to take part in the later stages of a competition for instance, or you may be required to live there for a period of time to take part in a funded programme (e.g. scholarship, incubator, accelerator).
