(Updated 31 Oct 2022) The Yidan Prize is a competition with a mission to create a better world through education. It consists of two awards: Yidan Prize for Education Research and Yidan Prize for Education Development. Through a series of initiatives, the prize serves to establish a platform that allows the global community to engage in conversation around education and to play a role in education philanthropy.

The Yidan Prize Laureates will receive a gold medal and a sum of HK$30 million broken down as follows:
a cash prize of HK$15 million (shared equally for teams) and
a project fund of HK$15 million (over three years).
Laureates will also join the Council of Luminaries, using their collective voice and wisdom to shape tomorrow’s education.
