Africa Prize for Engineering Innovation 2019/2020
(Updated 24 Apr 2019) This call for applications is for the 2019/2020 edition of The Royal Academy of Engineering Africa Prize, which encourages ambitious and talented sub-Saharan African engineers from all disciplines to apply their skills to develop scalable solutions to local challenges, highlighting the importance of engineering as an enabler of improved quality of life and economic development.

PRIZES
16 shortlisted applicants will receive an eight-month package of tailored support to help them achieve commercial success from their innovation, including three week-long immersion sessions, supplemented by remote support.
A winner will be selected to receive £25,000.
Three runners-up will each be awarded £10,000.
OTHER KEY DATES
June 2020: The overall winner of the £25,000 prize will be announced at a high-profile event in Africa.
Multiple host countries may mean that no travel is required.
