(Updated 3 Mar 2023) Parents/Guardians/Teachers, the Technovation Girls coding competition is a free technology-based programme for girls ages 8 - 18.
Working in teams (of 1 to 5), girls find a problem in their community and build a mobile app or Artificial Intelligence (AI) project to help solve it. Along the way, they develop their collaboration, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

All participating teams will be awarded a certificate.
Judges will select 15 Finalist Teams from around the world.
These Finalists will be invited to pitch live online during Technovation's World Summit.
Each team member will receive a $500 USD educational stipend (unrestricted, to be used to further the individual’s learning at their own discretion).
At the Global World Summit event, judges will select 3 Grand Prize Winners for Technovation Girls – one from each division.
Technology and Social Impact special recognition will be given to teams in each division. One finalist or regional winner team will be selected in the People’s Choice award as well.
15 Regional Winners will be selected: There will be a Senior and Junior Division Winners for each of these 5 regions: Africa, Asia & Oceania, Europe, North America, and Latin America. Each member of a Regional Winner team will receive $250 to use as an educational stipend.
Technovation will give two additional special awards that are open to all teams that submit an app (teams do not need to be regional winners or finalists to qualify for these two prizes)
One award will recognize a team tackling Climate Change and the other will recognize a team Combating Hunger. Both prizes will be awarded at the World Summit. Technovation will award $500 per student team member to the winners of these special prizes.
October 11, 2022: Registration Opens for students and mentors
January 10, 2023: Official Start of Season
March 22, 2023: Last Day to Register as a student or mentor (All members of your team must have registered and joined your team).
March 28 2023: Judge registration opens for volunteers who'd like to help provide feedback to teams
May:2023: Quarterfinal Online Judging.
End of May 2023: Semifinalists announced via email
Early June 2023: Semifinal Online Judging
Late June 2023: Finalists and Regional Winners announced. Teams will be able to access their scores and certificates at this time
August 2023: Technovation World Summit - celebration of the hard work of teams across the world!
