TechWomen Spring 2022

This call is for applications for the Spring 2022 TechWomen programme.

TechWomen empowers, connects and supports the next generation of women leaders in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) from Africa, Central and South Asia, and the Middle East by providing them the access and opportunity needed to advance their careers, pursue their dreams, and inspire women and girls in their communities.

PRIZES

Covered Costs
The following costs are covered by the TechWomen programme:

Roundtrip international airfare from participant home country to the United States
Domestic airfare from San Francisco to Washington, D.C.
Housing in San Francisco or Sunnyvale, California during the mentorship period
Meals and incidentals
Hotel stay in Washington, D.C.
Public transportation to the participant’s host company
Local transportation to group program events in the San Francisco Bay Area and Washington, D.C.

Housing
TechWomen participants will be housed in San Francisco or Sunnyvale, California, depending on the location of the participant’s host company. Participants will share an apartment with a fellow Emerging Leader. Each participant will have her own private bedroom, while the living room and kitchen will be shared.

July 2021: Semifinalists will be contacted.
September 2021: Final selection decisions will have been made by this date.
February 2022 - March 2022: U.S. Spring 2022 TechWomen programme

HOST COUNTRY

United States

Note that while some organisers may accept applications from all around the world, you may still be required to travel to the host country in order to take part in the later stages of a competition for instance, or you may be required to live there for a period of time to take part in a funded programme (e.g. scholarship, incubator, accelerator).
