2021 Brunel University International African Poetry Prize
This call for applications is for the 2021 edition of the Brunel University International African Poetry Prize, a major annual poetry prize aimed at the development, celebration and promotion of poetry from Africa. Now in its eighth year, this year the Prize is sponsored by Brunel University.

The winner of the prize will receive £3,000
The Prize works closely with the African Poetry Book Fund (APBF) and since its inception, most of the poets who have been nominated and/or won this award have published chapbooks with the African Poetry Book Fund series of ‘New Generation Chapbook Box Sets’.

Note that while some organisers may accept applications from all around the world, you may still be required to travel to the host country in order to take part in the later stages of a competition for instance, or you may be required to live there for a period of time to take part in a funded programme (e.g. scholarship, incubator, accelerator).
